Vizag Visitor

Hurrah I get my first real visitor. After being unceremoniously offloaded at Hyd airport last week, my Cartoon (Network) pal Swati finally made it to Vizag. The weather conditions were apparently right and there was no proverbial cyclone brewing but boy did it rain. We drove to Bheemli – the 24km route from Vizag is one of the longest and most gorgeous beach roads in India.

Bheemli is also the site of the oldest Dutch settlement on the East Cost and cemeteries that ‘house’ pirate
graves. But how the hell does one translate pirate into Hindi or Telugu?! Lack of communication skills resulted in our poking around a horribly run down but rather quaint Dutch cemetery. No sign of the Jolly Roger. (PIC Below: View from Dolphin Peak very near my house)
